Dear Paul,

We are writing at the request of several concerned citizens who attended our recent Board Meeting in Elverson on October 17,2000.

Questions were raised publicly by Dick & Nancy Saha and Chris Snyder about the City's use of eminent domain as a means of acquiring acreage for the proposed regional recreation center. As you know, all three members of this Board have been strong proponents individually and collectively of the City's revitalization efforts over the past several years. We explained that we are not in a position to challenge the actions taken by municipal officials but promised to again relay our hope that the City can find away to build the recreation center without having to use eminent domain.
